NABARD loan for Rajasthan

For the year 2009-10, National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD) has approved Rs.345.47 crores as loan assistance to the Rajasthan government for infrastructure projects under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF-XV). However, the projects include one rural drinking water scheme in Jodhpur district, setting up of 237 e-Vikas Kendras in 22 districts and construction of 65 hostels for students of disadvantaged groups in all the 33 districts of the State. It is said that Jodhpur district''s drinking water project would cover a population of 6.79 lakhs in 113 villages.

Additionally, the e-Vikas Kendras would cover 237 blocks in all the selected districts and function as nodal IT centres for exchange of information between States''s headquarter and blocks. However, they are likely to act as common service centers to provide a single window approach for delivery of various G-2-CS (Government to citizens).
